Just ran into this video by the White Rabbits directed by Andrew Droz Palermo. It is a definite watch. The simple set design and circular motion really make this video stand out. This just goes to show you don’t need a complicated and expensive video set to create something amazing. The circular movement really helps you experience the flow of the song. When a music video matches all the elements of music, editing, and lighting together, it’s a beautiful thing. It can make you really feel a song. This video reminds me of one of my old favorite music videos by Taking Back Sunday.

The band is surrounded by a roller coaster like track that has two cameras set on it. You can even see the other camera in the other shots with a light attached to it. At first you aren’t quite sure what is going on, however it slowly reveals the track in a few shots as the song gets more intense. At the peak of the song, the cameras are swirling around them frantically to create a powerful image and a intense rock mood to keep you going.

Ahhh this White Rabbits video is really cool…and I forgot how much I love that song.

While you posted an older TBS song, you should definitely check out their new album “New Again” …my favorite track off it is “Sink Into Me”…definitely worth a listen. http://www.myspace.com/takingbacksunday check it!

I love Palermo’s style..it’s very captivating. The lights are striking, in a good way. The circular motion keeps your attention for sure
